Field Trips

Hikes, treks and cave exploration are a few examples of field trips that are conducted across various grades at the Deens Academy.

Experiential learning is an integral part of the Deens Philosophy which focuses on all around awareness to offer children lessons beyond, reading, writing and watching videos in the classroom.

When children collect their own algae samples, when you create planters from cement and grow your own plants…The relevance of what they have learnt increases multi-fold. Our field trips are a one such effective educational activity for students that helps facilitate fast and efficient learning.

Ettina Bhuja trek

The trip we had to Ettina Bhunja was truly memorable. From the journey to the climb was well planned and coordinated by Romel sir and his team.

We started from the school campus at 3:30 and since we had some other pickup points we were delayed by 45 min. On our way we enjoyed interacting with each other and creating new bonds. We reached the home stay by 10:45 and had our breakfast that was average and got dressed to go for the trek. We reached the campsite by 1 and started our trek. It had a beautiful view from the start and just got better. The trek was 5 km up and down and we had Romel sir and his team spread and help us climb with some other students from our school who volunteered to help too. We reached the top point and the view was just breathtaking. We also got to witness the rain from up there. We reached down by 4 and went to eat our lunch which was pretty good and then we had our journey back to Bangalore. On our way we had some amazing dinner. Overall it was one memory we would cherish towards the year.
